Tuition and fees
Tuition and fee rates for advanced dental education students are established annually by the VCU Board of Visitors in May. The new fees for residents enrolling in July 2025 won't exceed $32,232 for in-state students and $47,450 for out-of-state students. Stipends, and scholarships are subject to change annually and are program dependent. For international students, an educational services fee also applies.
Students are required to purchase a digital intra-oral camera. Course registrations, application fee for admission into the M.S.D. program, and licensure fees may apply depending on departmental budget. The approximate total cost of the camera and program associated fees will not exceed $10,000.
Instruments and books
In addition, approximate fees include but may not be limited to the following:
- ACLS – $150 (x2)
- Digital intra-oral camera – $3,600
- Clinic instrument fee-$400 per semester
- Books – $500
- Examinations – $330
- Licenses – $100
Other fees may include registration and associated fees for required courses and meetings. Fees are subject to change.
A $75 application fee is required when applying for admission into the M.S.D. program.
